The executive producer ofNurse Jackiehas revealed that she is pleased with the gay characters on the show. Speaking to TV Guide at the GLAAD Awards,Liz Brixius explained that she is happy that the characters' sexuality is not a big issue in the series. "It doesn't feel like we're soldiers for anything anymore," she said. "We're just here telling stories that incorporate gay people in organic ways, and that's all I ever wanted.
